Primary Football League

AVSSP are pleased to launch our first ever Summer Football League during the 2024-2025 school calendar.

The football league will see schools split into two smaller leagues (Northern and Southern) based on sign-ups from across the borough. Dependant on the number of entries and the geography of schools will determine which of the two venues your school is directed to (Belper Leisure Centre and Swanwick Sports College)

Schools will come together across two evenings in their respectively leagues to play games against each other over the course of two rounds of fixtures (24th April and 17th June). After competing in the two leagues we will then bring together all schools for an end of year festival where the top placed teams from each league will play it out for the trophy and title of Summer League Champions.  

July’s football festival will be open to all schools regardless of finishing position in the league and schools will also be given the opportunity to bring teams from year 3/4 along as a transition to them participating in a football league the following academic year. The festival will be a celebration of football with games, activities and challenges for the children to participate in whilst for the top placing teams it will act as a finals day.
