Amber Valley School Sport Partnership have been a registered FA Girls Football Partnership since 2021 and are the lead advocate organisation locally in ensuring that girls have equal access to football in school.

This message is central to all that we do across all sports and activities ensuring an equal access model is in place across our organisation and partner schools.

AVSSP provide resources, training, events and equipment to support schools to provide equal access through football in partnership with Barclays and the Football Association (FA)

Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnerships by England Football (BGFSPs) is a nationwide scheme that aims to mainstream football in schools for girls. Supported by the Youth Sport Trust the initiative will create a network of BGFSPs across England by 2024, each with a dedicated education expert with knowledge and understanding of education and girls’ football in their local area.

The Barclays investment will give girls the best chance to experience football in the PE curriculum, as well as the opportunity to participate, lead and compete – giving them the equal access to our much-loved national game as most boys currently enjoy.

AVSSP will again be supporting the BIGGEST EVER FOOTBALL SESSION IN 2025.

Friday 7th March 2025 is your opportunity to take part in a nationwide movement to celebrate equal access to the worlds most popular sport.
