Leadership: Offering all students a way to be recognised for their work in volunteering and leadership with a pathway for the best students to be given additional support
Club links: Signposting our students to clubs both in and out of the borough in order for them to fulfil their potential
Physical Activity: Providing fun, alternative opportunities for young people to access sport and physical activity through equipment, resources, events or programmes
Holiday provision: Offering high quality, accessible holiday sports camps for numerous students across Amber Valley
Amber Valley School Sport Partnership have been in existance since 2006. Previously funded by central government as part of the Physical Education and School Sport Strategy for Young People, the SSP were tasked to increase the number of young people accessing 2 hours of High Quality PE.
Following the Spending Review the programme has been funded in a reduced capacity in a national programme called School Games. School Games aims to provide young people with the ‘multi sport’ central Olympic themed competition.
