Amber Valley & Erewash Athletics Club

We offer training and competition opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities from 8 years old through to adults in track and field, road, cross country, and sports hall athletics. The club takes part in local, regional and national competition.

Alfreton Cricket Club

Alfreton Cricket Club, established in 1927, is a community sports club based in the picturesque setting of Alfreton Park. We have 3 teams competing in the Derbyshire County League and 1 team in the Mansfield Sunday League as well as a highly successful junior section. We are proudly sponsored by Asha Healthcare and Alfreton Town Council

Denby Cricket Club

Denby CC was formed in 1865 and has been housed in recent times at The Copper Yard in Denby Village. We are one of the largest village clubs in the country fielding 5 Senior XI’s on a Saturday competing in the Derbyshire Premier and County Leagues. We are also home to a Ladies XI and various Junior teams ensuring all ages and abilities are catered for throughout the club.

Duffield Cricket Club

Located in the heart of Derbyshire, Duffield Cricket Club run 4 senior Saturday sides in the Derbyshire County Cricket League, and in 2021 will add a Sunday side in the Mansfield & District Cricket League. Our All Stars sessions on Friday nights are among the most popular in the country, winning a Centre of the Year award in 2017, and we run junior cricket for all age groups from All Stars (5-8 year olds) to U19s.

Langley Mill United Cricket Club

Langley Mill United Cricket Club deliver high quality and fun sessions throughout the year. They have a variety of ages groups ageing from U5’s all the way to U18’s so they have a real mixture of age groups. All ranging with different abilities and skills.

Riddings Cricket Club

Riddings Cricket Club run 2 senior teams in the Derbyshire County League. They have a ladies softball team as well as a junior cricket team. They also run the ALLSTARS program and thye hope in 2021 to introduce the Dynamo’s Cricket program for 8-11 year olds.

South Wingfield Cricket Club

South Wingfield Cricket Club are a friendly, sociable and inclusive cricket club. They have many teams starting from different age, the youngest is under 9’s. They can follow the ladder up to the adult team.

JLDance Academy

Amber Valley Gymnastics Academy

In August 2016 the club moved to a new location in Ripley due to club growth and expansion. The club now runs 6 days a week offering a wide range of disciplines to ensure a variety of classes. Amber Valley Gymnastics Academy currently has gymnasts representing the club at national and regional levels across the calendar year.

Belper Hockey Club

We are proud to have been playing hockey here in Belper since our Men’s section was established in 1908, with the Ladies section
following in 1920. The Club has always been involved at local, regional and international level, with numerous players being selected for county
and regional squads, with some going on to represent teams at national level. The Club forms part of the wider Belper Meadows Community Sports Club, which includes cricket, bowls and tennis.

Ripley Netball Club

Ripley Netball Club are a club that work with individuals in the Amber Valley Borough to develop individuals into the best netballers they can be. They can do this as they have a highly skilled level of coaches for all age groups that all hold a level 2 coaching qualification.

Belper Rugby Club

Belper Rugby Club have different age groups from U7- U18s these age groups all lead by high qualified coaches holding a level 2 qualification in coaching. They have a range of training sessions throughout the week and sometimes at weekends.

Ripley RASCALS

RASCALS – Ripley Amateur Swim Club and Lifesaving offers training for aspiring and experienced athletes in both swimming and lifesaving disciplines.  Our comprehensive Swimming programme teaches and develops stroke and turning techniques, starting in our Learn to Swim section right through to our Squads.  Our Lifesaving programmes teaches our Rookie lifesavers pool lifesaving techniques, beach competition techniques right through to our competitive Senior Squads.  We compete at a local, county, national and international level and have had athletes at both the Olympics and the Lifesaving Commonwealth Games.

Ripley & Alfreton Tennis Club

Ripley and Alfreton Tennis Club was formed in 2014 following a merger of Ripley Tennis Club and New Watchorn Tennis Club, Alfreton. We are a friendly local tennis club based in Ripley catering for all ages and abilities. Our members come from the surrounding areas of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
