January 2018

After a hectic competition which saw five teams compete brilliantly it was Curzon Primary who came out on top in the first Y5/6 Girls Futsal competiton
The five teams played eachother twice resulting in almost an hour of non-stop futsal for every team, the amount of playing time definitely had a positive impact on the performances with each team improving imeasurably as the games went on!
Curzon made a strong start to the competition overcoming a strong Loscoe side 2-1 in the first game and then didnt lose a game until their penultimate one against Horsley Primary

After an evening of futsal which saw northern and southern area competitions played out it was Mundy Junior and St Johns Belper who came out on top
In the northern area competition at Alfreton Leisure Centre, Mundy overcame a strong Riddings Junior side in a tough opening game and then went through the gears to clinch the title
Riddings Junior kept pace admirably winning their remaining games to edge Heage Primary into 3rd place, Codnor Primary picked up two good wins to take 4th place ahead of 5th placed Leys Junior and 6th placed Ironville Primary
