Tuesday night saw teams from across Amber Valley jostle for position in the Y7 Football table ahead of the second round of fixtures in February which will decide the teams which progress through to the semi-finals
Five teams competed in the 8 a side games with each team playing every other in attendance
Ecclesbourne looked strong throughout as they remained unbeaten only dropping points in a 0-0 opening draw with Belper
Belper themselves stayed firmly in contention with 2 wins and 2 draws while home team Ripley Academy picked up a win and a draw

Students from Mundy Junior, Waingroves Primary, Leys Junior, Kirk Langley Primary and Duffield Meadows Primary produced 10 phoenomenal performances on Friday afternoon to make the first Dance Platform of 2016-17 a great spectacle!
Routines included Ballet, Street Dance and Contemporary styles with solo performances, duets and group performances with some truly amazing talent on show!
Not only that the platform was over run with an army of dancing elves from Leys Junior taking time out from preparing for Christmas to show off their skills!

Riddings Junior won their second Y3/4 End Ball trophy in as many years winning 100% of their games in Thursday's competition
The event saw six teams competing for the trophy where teams had to pass the ball through their teammates to the end zone to score a point with no contact allowed and no moving with the ball in hand
Swanwick A were extremely impressive in winning 4 of their 5 games while Wessington were best placed small school taking a terrific 3rd place
