In a fast paced Y3/4 End Ball event Mundy Junior A came out on top just pipping Richardson A in the final round of games!
Nine teams took part at Heanor Leisure Centre with players trying to pass the ball from teammate to teammate to reach the goal area at either end of the court.
The competition was played out in two separate group stages with the top 2 in each moving forward to compete for the trophy while the remaining teams played out for placings

In a fantastic Y3/4 End Ball event Herbert Strutt Primary and Curzon Primary went home as joint winners after they couldn't be separated on points!
The event saw 8 teams taking part in two initial leagues of 4 with the top two from each league playing in another league and the bottom 2 doing the same
Every team was constantly playing throughout the evening which led to some incredible progress by all teams in their movement, passing and teamwork

In a fantastic competition which saw 12 teams competing for the title Shirland Primary dominated, coming both first and second!
Shirland's A and B teams won through their groups along with Riddings A to set up a 3 team round robin for the trophy with Shirland A coming out on top!
Heage Primary came out on top in the round robin for 4th place ahead of Christ the King and Codnor while further down Swanwick and Horsley shared 7th place, Waingroves and Woodbridge shared 8th and St Johns and Riddings B shared 9th place

Loscoe Primary overcame a spirited Wessington side to clinch the Y5/6 Small Schools Basketball title in extra time!
The competition saw 8 teams split into 2 groups with the top 2 from each group progressing to semi-finals to compete for 1st place while the bottom to went through to semi finals aiming for a 5th place finish
Loscoe progressed to this semi finals by winning all three of their group games where they met Fritchley who came through group B on points difference
In the other semi final Wessington overcame Breadsall to set up their match with Loscoe 

Richardson Primary A and Mundy Junior A finished level on points at the end of the Y5/6 Heanor cluster competition and will both compete in next month's Borough finals
Each team won 3 of their games and drew 4-4 with eachother to end the night locked on 10 points to share the spoils
Mundy Junior B edged out Richardson B to take 3rd place with Codnor Primary taking 5th place
The standard of basketball throughout was incredibly impressive, showcased by some really close games and terrific attacking displays

St John's came out on top in a closely contested Y5/6 Basketball cluster competition as William Gilbert followed them through to the finals by finishing runners up
The eight schools were split into two groups of 4 with the top 2 from each group progressing to play for places 1-4 and the bottom 2 from eahc group then competing for places 5-8
In group A, eventual champions St John's went through the group unbeaten with wins over Kilburn, Little Eaton and William Gilbert while over in Group B Duffield Meadows took top spot staying unbeaten across their 3 games. 

Wessington Primary produced a fantastic performance to take home the latest KS1 End Ball trophy on Thursday evening!
Despite some great performances from two teams from both Copthorne Infant and Somercotes Infant it was Wessington who overcame all 4 other teams to claim the prize
The event was aimed at developing students skills in invasion games through using end ball as the vehicle to do so, students were encouraged to pass the ball to teammates in order to move up the court and socre a point by making a successful pass into the 'goal area'

Six teams played an hour and a half of End Ball games on Tuesday night all competing for the KS1 End Ball title!
The aim of the evening was to work on students' movement, passing, receiving and teamwork with every single team showing marked improvements on these 4 areas it can only go down as a success!
Teams were aiming to pass the ball through their team to reach the end-zone, with an emphasis on movement off the ball given that the player in possession was not allowed to move

Seven teams played out a terrific KS1 End Ball event at Belper Leisure Centre on Monday night with Little Eaton and St John's Belper sharing the trophy!
The aim of the evening was to develop skills in Year 1 and 2 students around invasion games using End Ball –  a hybrid of netball and bench-ball. The students objective was to pass the ball through their team to the end zone to score a point while the opposition tried to intercept

After finishing runners up in two of this weeks futsal competitions Heanor Gate finally took home the trophy in the Y7 Boys competition
Heanor held their nerve to beat Swanwick Hall 3-1 in their final game sealing the title leaving Swanwick a point behind in 2nd and Ecclesbourne 3rd
Ripley Academy won the race for 4th place edging out both David Nieper Academy and Aldercar High School
Heanor Gate's win will see them progress to the Derbyshire County final next month to try to bring the county title back to Amber Valley for a 2nd year running
